Congress leaders who suspended the central committee gathered at Dhobighat
Kathmandu. Acting President of Nepali Congress Purna Bahadur Khadka has called a meeting of top leaders. The meeting has been called at Dhobighat in Lalitpur from 9 am. The Congress Central Committee meeting has been postponed due to disagreements about the convention.
There were two types of opinions that the agenda of the regular convention should be brought before the election and that the convention should not be held before the election, but no consensus could be reached.
General Minister Gagan Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma are in favor of going to the elections with a new leadership, while a group of former office bearers are of the opinion that they should not go to the convention before the elections. In the midst of this debate, the Central Committee meeting has been postponed and the Executive Committee meeting has been held for three days, but no agreement has been reached.
