Call for registration for the parties who want to participate in the elections of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly

Kathmandu. The Election Commission has called for registration of political parties who want to participate in the upcoming House of Representatives and National Assembly elections. The Commission issued a notice today and said that party registration was opened for the House of Representatives from November 1-10 and for the National Assembly from November 1-7. The notification of the commission states, "Parties who wish to participate in the elections are requested to submit an application to the commission along with a copy of the decision made by the central committee, annual audit report and other necessary documents."

According to the Commission, if two or more parties want to take part in the House of Representatives election with the same election symbol, the relevant information should also be submitted along with the same application. It is mentioned in the notification, "It is requested to submit the constitution, regulations and manifesto of the party, the model of the election symbol and the electronic copy of the same." Elections have been scheduled for January 11 for one-third of the members who will be vacant in the National Assembly from February 20 and for February 21 for members of the House of Representatives.
