Kathmandu. Bright Nepal Party has demanded the government to immediately publish the report of the commission of inquiry led by Gauri Bahadur Karki. The party issued a statement on Wednesday saying that the delay in publicizing the truth about the events related to the Genji Movement is against democratic values.
According to the party, although the commission has submitted its report to the government, it is "sad and worrying" that it has not been made public yet. The party warned that if the report is kept secret, confusion, suspicion and mistrust of the state will increase among the citizens, and the party has mentioned that the victims, injured and the families of the dead are expecting truth, justice and accountability.
