Boycott of first city meeting of National Independent Party Melamchi: Question on internal democracy

Sindhupalchok. The boycott of the first city session of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party RSVP held in Melamchi municipality of Sindhupalchok has raised questions about the internal management and democratic practices within the party. It is a matter of concern that the party that has emerged with the slogans of new political culture, transparency and good governance is creating a situation of dissatisfaction and boycotting the convention. The power of a political party is not limited only to popular support. Its organizational structure, internal democracy and leadership selection process also determine the party's credibility. In an important organizational event like a convention, failure to reach agreement between workers and leadership indicates a lack of communication, management weakness or procedural conflict.

It is necessary for the party leadership to make public a clear opinion on why and how the boycott decision was made. It is the party leadership's responsibility to listen to the grievances of the disaffected parties, investigate impartially and take necessary corrective measures. Otherwise, such controversies may not only increase division within the organization, but also weaken the trust of common citizens towards the party.

Sindhupalchok Area No. 2 The president of a ward informed that the National Independent Party (RSP) is becoming parentless. Recently, in the election of February 21, RSP candidate Ajay Shrestha was defeated and the founder district chairperson Mayan Gurung's party took a break. The issue of why the Rashtriya Swatantra Party Melamchi went towards boycotting its first city convention has become a matter of serious debate. Chairman candidate Mahesh Chalishe has boycotted saying that factions and syndicates have been imposed by the founder parties.

It has been found that the identity card has been forged by District Secretary Chakramani Sigdel for completeness. It is the result of the city committee's inaction. For renewing the identity card of members and city committee, QR personal account number 077011060000432 of Sanima Bank Ltd. of Vice Chairman Ranjit Thapa has been invited on social media.

The practice of political parties managing their finances through membership fees, levies, donations and other statutory sources is considered normal in Nepal. It is based on the Political Party Act, 2073 and the relevant party's statutes and regulations. City Committee Account No. or District Committee Account No. The arrangement to be collected is mentioned in the constitution of the National Independent Party RSWP. In today's open session, there was no hearing on the financial report, income and expenditure. The list of the working committee was informed by a member of the delegation committee which was planned while sitting at Travel Chavahil in Kathmandu. He said that all the process, we had prepared sitting in Kathmandu, only for the process, we held a program in Melamchi Bazar, he said. We could not say everything, but it was our group's plan to boycott Mahesh Chalise anyway, he said.
