Biplav 10-day ultimatum to the government

Kathmandu. Nepal Communist Party Maoist protested saying that the current government does not appreciate the sentiments of Genji movement. In a statement released today, Netravikram Chand 'Biplav' has pressed the government to address 13 points of demand. He has given a 10-day ultimatum to dissolve the interim government and form an all-party government.
The party said that due to the political confusion after the Genji movement, the current government should be dissolved and an all-party government should be formed. It is claimed that the people have taken to the streets because of the corruption, partisanship and unemployment that have ramped up in the 18 years since the Republic. In addition, the system of directly elected executive head and rewriting of the constitution has been maintained.
Demands such as strict action against those responsible for the shooting and destruction of August 23-24, forming a high-level commission to investigate corruption, nationalizing the property of the guilty and ensuring life imprisonment, canceling 500 and 1000 notes to control black money have also been put forward.
The party has warned that if the demand is not addressed within 10 days, it will start a street struggle.
