Arrested Durga Prasai at midnight

Kathmandu. The police have arrested Durga Prasai, the coordinator of Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Citizen Rescue Campaign. Prasai, who had announced to start the protest from 7th of November, was arrested by the police team from his residence in Bhaktapur in the middle of the night.

The joint team of District Police Complex Kathmandu and Crime Investigation Office arrested him and now he is kept in the police complex in Bhadrakali. It is said that Prasain's recent expression was considered by some to be of an inflammatory nature and that it was caught because it was seen as likely to cause violence. He had been protesting nationwide since the 7th and claiming to block all areas including transport.

It was said that a demonstration of power will be held in Kathmandu on November 7th in the name of 'Brehat Nagarik Mukti Andolan' through a campaign called 'Rashtra, Nationality, Religion, Culture and Civil Defense' conducted by Prasain. Facebook, X Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Tiktok etc. supporters of Prasain were requesting to reach Kathmandu on November 7th and participate in the demonstration.
