Allegedly, the stewardess of the crashed Buddha Air did not allow the door to open, what does the airline say?
Kathmandu. Buddh Air has given a clarification regarding the news that the flight attendant did not allow the door of the plane that crashed at the Bhadrapur airport in Jhapa to be opened. The airline objected to the news and issued a clarification claiming the truth of the incident on Friday. Buddha Air has also informed about the flight attendant's efforts to open the plane door. "The air hostess opened the lock of the right side door following the safety protocol," Buddha said, "but when it was 'jammed' and did not open, she immediately proceeded to take the passengers out safely through the back 'service door'."
Buddha Air says that it is risky to open the door due to security reasons as a hole and water were seen on the left side after the plane left the runway.
At the same time, Umesh Moktan, a passenger on board the plane, helped to open the front right door and helped other passengers to get out immediately, according to Buddha Air.
"We express our sincere gratitude to the passenger Umesh Moktan for his courage and support in the hour of crisis," the airline said, "Buddha Air appreciates his work and announces that he will be honored with an appropriate award."
