After nine days, the flood-swept Veri Corridor in Taksugad was opened, the risk of being blocked again remains
Jajarkot. The road under the Bheri Corridor, which was washed away by flood in Taksugad in the border area of Nalgad Municipality-10 and 11 of Jajarkot, has been put into operation after nine days. The Jajarkot-Dolpa road section, which was blocked after the flood washed away the bridge and four houses along the road, has been opened for traffic after being repaired and constructed by the Bheri Corridor Road Plan in coordination with Nalgad Municipality.
After the flood in Taksugad caused great damage to the road structure and also washed away the bridge, the transport service from Jajarkot to Dolpa was completely affected. When the road was blocked, local residents, passengers and vehicles carrying daily necessities were stopped on the road.
The road was opened after the Bheri Corridor road plan in coordination with Nalgad municipality started the repair work immediately and made it possible for vehicles to operate. With the road being operational, vehicles going from Jajarkot to Tripurakot, Chalgad and other areas of Dolpa have started plying again.
