Kathmandu. Ravilaxmi Chitrakar, wife of former Prime Minister Jhalnath Khanal, who was seriously injured in the arson attack at her residence in the name of Genji movement, has demanded the government to take strict action against the culprits involved in the incident. She said that those who destroy the country wearing the mask of ignorance should be quickly identified and punished.
Speaking tomediapersons at Tribhuvan International Airport on Monday while returning home after treatment in India, the painter alleged that violence was caused in the name of Genji. She compared what she experienced to Hitler's gas chamber. I read in the book, Hitler's gas chamber. I fell into that gas chamber myself and this happened today," she said, "This government should quickly recognize and take action against those who tried to destroy the country by wearing the mask of ignorance of Genji brothers. This is my demand.
She emphasized that the government should immediately identify the culprits and take legal action. Meanwhile, former Prime Minister Jhalnath Khanal also expressed pain over the incident and said that the treatment process has not been completed yet. According to him, more treatment is needed. Last August, during the Genji movement, the residence of the Khanal couple in Dallu was set on fire. Ravilakshmi Chitrakar was seriously injured in the incident and the house was completely damaged.
