Kathmandu. Bright Nepal Party has put forward a proposal to improve the electoral system to ensure proportional and inclusive representation.
In the party manifesto released on Wednesday, the party proposed to maintain the practice of federalism in Nepal and make it practical, result-oriented and effective. The manifesto states, "proportional parliamentarians and nominated parliamentarians should be arranged for one time only, local level elections should be on a non-partisan basis."

The party is of the opinion that the number of ministries should be reviewed based on the suggestions received from studies conducted at different times regarding government reforms, review of the structure and number of provincial and local levels in view of the population, geography, identity, strength and economic potential of the country, addressing issues related to federalism based on broad national consensus.

The party has accepted the constitution as a dynamic document. In announcing the manifesto today, it has been emphasized that some provisions of the current constitution should be amended for the bright future of Nepal, experts who are not members of parliament should be made ministers, but the foreign minister, home minister, law minister and defense minister should be selected from the members of the federal parliament, and there should be a five-member cabinet with a directly elected chief minister in the provinces.
