Kathmandu. As of Tuesday afternoon, 68 parties have registered their parties for the forthcoming House of Representatives elections to be held on February 21. Election Commission spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that so far 68 parties have registered their parties for the purpose of the upcoming House of Representatives elections. He also informed that the number of registered parties is 132.
He also expressed confidence that everyone will participate in the election. Elections are a national festival. Ordinary citizens will participate in the election in three ways. Since everyone will participate in it, the process of party registration is going on and all the parties will be registered. Therefore, the Commission will pledge to conduct elections in a free, fair and fear-free manner," said spokesperson Bhattarai.
He also said that the law for Nepalese citizens living abroad is in the process of being drafted. He also said that the Ministry of Finance informed the commission that the budget of 4.96 billion has been secured and will continue to demand the insufficient budget.
