60.1 million collected in reconstruction fund

Kathmandu. So far, 60 million rupees have been collected in the physical infrastructure reconstruction fund established by the government for the reconstruction of physical structures damaged by arson and vandalism during the Genji demonstration on 23rd and 24th of August. According to Finance Ministry spokesperson Tank Prasad Pandey, 60 million rupees have been collected in the fund till Sunday. The government established the fund for the reconstruction of structures damaged during the demonstration.
The government has requested ordinary citizens, private sector, non-resident Nepalis, development partners, various associations and donor agencies to contribute to the fund. In addition, the financial support given to the fund can be deducted from the taxable income of the contributor for the current financial year. An account has been opened for the reconstruction fund at the Singha Darbar branch of the National Commercial Bank. The Ministry of Finance has prepared to publish the details of the people who contributed to the fund soon.
