6 names recommended for the Chief Justice in the Constitutional Council

Kathmandu. It has recommended the names of 6 judges for the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. The meeting of the Council has recommended names for the appointment of the Chief Justice who will be vacant from the 18th of Chait. Chief Justice Prakashmansingh Raut is retiring on the 18th of Chait due to his age limit of 65 years.

The Supreme Court's senior judge Sapna Pradhan Malla, judge Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma, Kumar Regmi, Hari Phuyal, Tilprasad Shrestha and Dr. The name of Nahkul Subedi has been recommended.

Judges who have served three years in the Supreme Court are eligible for Chief Justice. There is a provision to recommend the name of the new Chief Justice one month before the Chief Justice retires.
