President of the Janmat Party Dr. CK Raut elected
Kathmandu. From the second convention of Janmat Party held in Birgunj, Parsa, Dr. CK Raut was elected with an overwhelming majority. A total of 1,155 delegates voted in the election for the 99-member Central Working Committee with 26 officers.
President Dr. Even though Raut was the only candidate, the voting process was adopted as according to the party constitution, at least 20 percent of the votes must be obtained. According to the counting of votes, Dr. Raut secured the post of president by getting 958 votes.
