Violating the order of the Supreme Court, the government again sent letters to the ambassadors of 11 countries
Kathmandu. Ignoring the order of the Supreme Court, the government has sent letters to the ambassadors of 11 countries to return home. On Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent another letter to all ambassadors instructing them to attend Kathmandu and work under the ministry. Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saroj Kumar Yadav has sent a reminder to the ambassadors to appear at the Ministry by 20th of Kartik. The cabinet meeting decided to recall the ambassadors appointed for China, Germany, Malaysia, Israel, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, UK, USA and Japan.
Among the recalled ambassadors are Krishna Prasad Oli (China), Shail Rupakheti (Germany), Dhan Prasad Pandit (Israel), Dr. Netraprasad Timalsina (Malaysia), Rameshchandra Poudel (Qatar), Jung Bahadur Chauhan (Russia), Nareshvikram Dhakal (Saudi Arabia), Sanil Nepal (Spain), Chandrakumar Ghimire (UK), Lokdarshan Regmi (USA) and Durga Bahadur Subedi (Japan).
Earlier, the Supreme Court had issued an interim order not to immediately implement the government's decision to recall the ambassador. The bench of Justice Sharanga Subedi and Srikant Paudel issued the order and directed not to implement the decision immediately. The government led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki decided to recall the ambassadors of 11 countries on October 30. The ambassador, appointed during the tenure of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, has been instructed to come to Kathmandu by the 20th of October.
