Winter Season: Less rainfall but higher maximum and minimum temperatures

Kathmandu. During this winter from November 15 to February 16, most of the country will receive less rain than normal. Similarly, the maximum temperature and minimum temperature will also be higher than Sardar, according to the Department of Water and Meteorology.

According to the assessment made public by the department on Wednesday, there is an equal chance of rainfall less than Sardar, Sardar and more than Sardar in this winter in the northern parts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali Provinces and in the north-western parts of Gandaki Province. Dinkar Kayastha, information officer of the department, said that there is a 55 to 65 percent chance of less rain than Sardar in the eastern and southern parts of Sudurpaschim Province, the southern part of Karnali, the western part of Lumbini, the southern part of Bagmati, the northern part of Madhes and the central and eastern part of Koshi province.

Similarly, there is a 45 to 55 percent chance of less than normal rainfall in the far western and central parts of Karnali province, central and eastern parts of Lumbini, eastern parts of Gandaki, central and northern parts of Bagmati, southern parts of Madhes and some parts of Koshi province, while the rest of the country has a 35 to 45 percent chance of less than normal rainfall.
