Kathmandu. CPN-UML Politburo member Mahesh Basnet has warned that home minister Omprakash Aryal will be prosecuted. He said that he would file a case against Home Minister Aryal for destroying the evidence of arson, vandalism and looting during the Genji movement. He said that the case against Aryal will be prosecuted after the fall of the current government and the new government, i.e. after seven months.
Basnet said in a program, "Home Minister Omprakash Aryal is being sued for arson, vandalism, looting and destroying evidence of theft." friend Be prepared, be prepared. Now you are 6 months old. We will file a case against you after seven months. Be prepared. We want to say this very clearly.
More than 200 people who were arrested by the police on charges of arson and vandalism in public, government and private buildings and commercial establishments during the Genji movement on 23rd and 24th of August were released after the instructions of Home Minister Aryal.
The Ministry of Home Affairs instructed the police to take action against them only after receiving the report of the High Level Inquiry Commission. But later, the commission of inquiry led by Gauri Bahadur Karki said that the report of the commission was not required in the criminal case, and action was taken against those involved in arson and vandalism.
