Kathmandu. The ongoing war between Iran and the US Israel has reached a point where the entire world economy is at risk. Amid reports that the Strait of Hormuz in the Gulf region has already been closed, Yemen's Houthi rebels have now threatened to close the Bab Almandeb Strait.
Yemen's Houthi rebels have broken their silence as the war enters its third week. The Iran-backed militant group has said it is ready to retaliate at any moment. Houthi leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said his forces "have their finger on the trigger" and will intervene if the conflict escalates. Experts believe - this is part of Iran's "three-step strategy".
The first step is to close the Strait of Hormuz, which has already been done. The second step is to engage Israel from the Lebanon and Gaza fronts, and the third step is to close Bab al-Mandeb through the Houthis.
