Vice-Chancellor, Principal and Registrar resigned
Kathmandu. The top officials of Tribhuvan University, the country's oldest and largest educational institution, have collectively resigned from their posts.
Vice-Chancellor Prada Deepak Aryal, Principal Prada Khadg KC and Registrar Prada Kedar Prasad Rizal submitted their resignations to Chancellor and Prime Minister Balendra Shah on Thursday.
They have sent a resignation letter to Prime Minister Balen Shah, who is also the chancellor, through the staff and to the Prime Minister's Secretariat through WhatsApp.
With the formation of the new government, officials have said that they have paved the way for the working environment and diplomatic ease. Especially in the recently recommended new ordinance, there is a provision that officials can be removed and after receiving similar signals from the leaders of the ruling party, they have decided to resign.
