Kathmandu. The United States has announced a moratorium on asylum decisions for foreign nationals. After the shooting of two National Guardsmen near the Presidential Palace in Washington DC on Wednesday, the United States has suspended all decisions to grant asylum to foreign nationals. USCIS director Joseph Adlow posted on X and informed about this. Adlow said in the post, "The safety of American citizens always comes first."

A few hours after President Donald Trump announced that third world countries would not be allowed to come to America, Adlo made the announcement about not granting asylum, according to the BBC. On Wednesday, two members of the National Guard were shot near the White House in Washington DC. One of the guards was seriously injured by the bullet and died.
