UML Manifesto: 2 million interest-free loans to students and women entrepreneurs, 25 thousand loan waivers for the poor

Kathmandu. CPN-UML has brought an election manifesto with 11 commitments for the election of the House of Representatives. UML president KP Sharma Oli released the manifesto on Thursday. In which 11 commitments have been made. President Oli said that a deadline will be set for the implementation of these commitments from the first meeting of the Council of Ministers. 

In the first commitment of UML, it is mentioned that youth between 18 to 29 years of age will be provided free 10 GB data every month for one year. Second, it has been promised to provide bank cards worth 10,000 US dollars to youth and entrepreneurs. UML believes that this will help to promote research, production, development and export in the field of information technology. 

Thirdly, it has been committed to deposit an additional 5 thousand rupees in the account of workers who send money from abroad. Along with this, it is mentioned that the workers going for foreign employment will be managed to continue in the contribution-based social security system. 

Fourthly, it is mentioned in the UML manifesto that the student will be given a loan of up to 20 lakh rupees. It is also said that internships with minimum wages will be arranged in the government service, private sector business and teaching sector.  Fifth, the UML has announced that free pads will be provided to girls in all schools across the country, mid-day meals for students up to class 10. 

Sixth, there is a commitment of UML to raise the minimum wage of workers to 25,000 rupees. It is said that all workers will be connected to the contribution-based social security system.  Seventh, it is mentioned in the manifesto to determine the rank of teachers. Along with this, UML has announced that all the teachers of public and private schools will be included in the contribution-based social security system.
