Udhaunli festival of Kirant community will further strengthen national unity: President

Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel has issued a message of greetings on the occasion of Udhaunli festival of Kirant community and wished happiness, peace and prosperity to all Nepali sisters and brothers at home and abroad. The President mentioned in the message that this festival of the Kirant community, which has an inseparable relationship with nature, has helped to enhance mutual harmony among all ethnic groups of Nepal and to maintain family, community and social unity.

Festivals like Udhauli have played an important role in maintaining social harmony, national unity and common Nepali identity by intertwining our cultural, ethnic and linguistic diversity in Nepal, which is a common flower garden of different castes and communities. I feel that this festival has helped to strengthen the interdependent relationship between human life and nature, environment-friendly life management, unity, cooperation, cultural preservation, respect for labor, and faith in ancestors," the message said.
