Two games today - Janakpur and Biratnagar, Sudurpaschim and Karnali
Kathmandu. Two matches will be played today in the second edition of Nepal Premier League NPL Cricket released here. In the first match, former winners Janakpur Bolts and Biratnagar Kings will compete at 12:00 in the morning and in the second match at 4:00 pm, former runners-up Sudurpaschim Royals and Karnali Yaks will compete.
Biratnagar and Sudurpaschim are aiming to maintain their unbeaten journey. Janakpur under the captaincy of Anil Sah lost to Kathmandu Gorkhaz by 5 wickets in the first match. The challenge for Janakpur to make a comeback against Biratnagar is to maintain the rhythm in order to claim the title.
Biratnagar under the captaincy of Sandeep Lamichhane is aiming to win the third match in a row. Earlier, Biratnagar registered victory against Pokhara Avengers in the first match and Kathmandu in the second match. In the opening match between these two in the last edition, Janakpur won easily by 8 wickets. Today, the idea of revenge will remain in Biratnagar.
In the second match today, Sudurpaschim led by Dipendra Singh Airi and Karnali led by Sompal Kami will face each other. Sudurpaschim, who was shocked in the finals despite their excellent performance in the last edition, is in the stake to win the title this time.
On the other hand, Karnali, who started the ongoing edition with a loss against Chitwan Rhinos in the first match, made an excellent comeback by defeating Lumbini Lions on Saturday. Karnali's Mark Watt scored an explosive century to win the match by 9 wickets.
Karnali, who reached the playoffs last year with a higher run rate, is looking for a smooth journey this time. In the last edition, Sudurpaschim shocked Karnali by 6 wickets. Karnali will not be in favor of repeating that defeat today. The tournament started on November 1 and will end on November 27 organized by the Nepal Cricket Association.
