Trunkline dues dispute: Industrialists agree to deposit deposit

Kathmandu. Industries have come to an agreement on dedicated and trunk line dues disputes. According to the Confederation of Nepal Industry and Commerce, it has been agreed to go for a review by depositing an amount equal to 28 installments. Chandra Prasad Dhakal, president of Mahasangh, informed that the agreement to connect the line was made after depositing the outstanding amount to be paid in 28 installments in the account of Nepal Electricity Authority.

Earlier, a compromise proposal on the dedicated and trunkline dispute was agreed on Monday. . A moderate proposal was put forward from the discussion held in the presence of Prime Minister Sushila Karki. Out of the 28 installments demanded by the Nepal Electricity Authority by the industrialists, an amount equal to one of the installments was arranged not as an 'installment' but as a 'disputed amount'.

It is mentioned in the proposal that the industrialists who pay the bond in this way will have the right to review or seek legal remedies. In addition, a provision has been made that the industrialists can clearly mention their disagreements and reasons for review when submitting an application to the authority. Finance Minister Rameshwar Khanal, Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, Industry, Commerce and Supply Minister Anil Sinha, Chief Secretary Eknarayan Aryal, related secretaries and president of Nepal Confederation of Industry and Commerce Chandra Prasad Dhakal participated in the meeting held on Monday in the office of the Prime Minister.
