Trial of Tamghas-Burtibang 132 KV transmission line started
Kathmandu. The testing of the 132 kV double circuit transmission line constructed by the Nepal Electricity Authority from Gulmi headquarters Tamghas to Burtibang has been started from today. The line built under Burtibang-Paudiamrai-Tamghas-Sandhikhark-Gorusinge 132 KV transmission line project has been extended through different local levels of Gulmi and Baglung districts.
According to the authority, the transmission line from Tamghas substation located at Unachaur of Ward No. 7 under Resunga Municipality of Gulmi to Burtibang substation located at Dhorpatan Municipality-2 Khaltubot of Baglung will be tested and electricity will be supplied with a capacity of 132 thousand volts.
Manoj Chaudhary, project head of Electricity Authority, informed that the transmission line will be put into regular operation only after testing it for two days from today. He said that through Resunga Municipality-3, 4 and 5 of Gulmi, Isma Rural Municipality-2 and Musikot Municipality-1, 2 and 3, Badigad Rural Municipality-2, 5, 6 and 7 of Baglung and Dhorpatan Municipality-2 have been extended to Burtibang.
Keeping in mind the risk caused by high voltage, the authority has requested the general public not to climb the tower of the transmission line, not to touch the wire or structure, not to go around the tower and not to leave domestic animals outside. It is requested to stay away from structures marked with danger and to alert children.
