During the celebration of the festival, according to the culture of Mithila, Matkor, Tilakotsava, Swayamvar and marriage rituals are performed. According to the legend, the idol of Lord Rama is carried from the Ram temple along with the tableau and the tableau to the theater on a specially made dola throne.
