National Tea Day is celebrated on 15th Baisakh every year in Nepal. On this occasion, the history, production, contribution and challenges of Nepalese tea are discussed and attention is focused on its conservation and promotion.

Tea, which has become an integral part of every Nepali's daily life, is not only a beverage but also a tradition deeply connected with our culture, hospitality and lifestyle. In most Nepali homes, the day starts with tea, and tea is often the first means of hospitality.
