Kathmandu. The Ministry of Water Supply has published the progress report related to the project of National Pride Melamchi Water Supply. The Ministry has released the progress details of the project through a press release.

According to the Ministry, according to the decision of the 8th of November, a nine-member Facilitation Committee has been formed under the coordination of the Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers. Similarly, the Melamchi Water Supply Development Committee has been instructed to recommend and send three representatives who will participate on behalf of the local flood victims' struggle committee, and the structure, working conditions and procedures of the committee have been placed on the Ministry's website.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, it has been decided to send the relief and compensation to the District Administration Office, Sindhupalchowk through the Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out the necessary process regarding the relief and compensation to be received from the Government of Nepal due to the floods and landslides in 2078 and the relief and compensation available from the local administration for the reconstruction of private housing.

Regarding the replenishment of water distributed from the Melamchi drinking water project is a new topic in the levy drinking water sector, it is mentioned in the statement that it has been decided to form a working group to carry forward the process of creating the necessary law with specific methods from the meeting held on November 11th, keeping in mind the global practice, related stakeholders and individuals.
