August 18, Kathmandu. 7 decisions of the Cabinet meeting have been made public. Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel announced the main decisions of the Cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister and Cabinet Office on Thursday afternoon.
7 main decisions of the cabinet meeting
1. To ccept US$ 5 million grant aid received from Asian Development Bank for life protection and emergency rescue and relief work of Bhotekoshi flood affected people.
2, To provide relief, taxes and duties and other concessions and facilities under the integrated business rehabilitation plan to the people, industries, trades and businesses affected by the flood in Bhotekoshi river of Rasuwa.
3. To grant permission to import sugar with a total of 25,000 metric tons of sugar through Salt Trading Corporation Limited and Food Management and Trading Company Limited with 1 percent customs duty.
4. To provide risk allowance, lunch expenses, free medical treatment in case of injury to the security personnel and national service personnel who were deployed after the flood in Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa, and in case of death, providing 10 lakh per diem relief to his family.
5, 2083 on the occasion of Genji Martyr Day on 23rd August 2083, a public holiday will be given throughout the state of Nepal.
6, Samvat 2083, on the 10th of August 2083, national mourning will be celebrated on the 13th day of the death anniversary of the incident, i.e. Monday, the 22nd of August, in honor of the people who died due to the unimaginable severe flood that occurred in the Bhotekoshi river at the Rasuwa border between Nepal and China. On that day, the Nepalese flag will be lowered to half-mast in government offices and Nepali embassies and missions abroad.
7, To prmote Mr. Narayan Prasad Bhatt to the post of special category secretary gazetted towards the grouping of Nepal administration services and to appoint him to the post of Chief Secretary, Chief Minister and Council of Ministers Office, Koshi Province.
