These are alternative routes to the ever-congested roads
Nawalparasi The southern road section of Nawalparasi under the East-West highway is going to be operated one-way for two months. In addition to the expansion of the Narayanghat-Butwal road, as a culvert has to be constructed in that section, it is going to be operated in a one-way manner. Superintendent of Police Yuvraj Khadka, Chief of Police of District Police Office, Nawalpur, informed that the project directorate under the road department issued a notice on Monday that the one-way road is going to be closed until the construction of a culvert on the Down section. According to him, the construction of culvert in this section is going on at a fast pace.
Due to the construction going on, two-way traffic will affect the work, so it is going to be operated only one-way. According to the project directorate, Daunne Khad is going to be operated in a one-way manner until the 15th of January. There has been a problem in traffic operation in Downe for the past few days. Superintendent of Police Khadka said that due to the rain a few days ago, the road was slippery and muddy, and the vehicles could not climb the hill and there was a problem in the traffic operation.
He informed that there is still a problem in the smooth operation of traffic in that section, as soon as it rains, the project will operate a one-way road until the culvert construction period.
Superintendent of Police Khadka requested everyone to travel only after understanding the road conditions while using the lower section. He requested the passengers to understand the condition of the road and use an alternative route in case of obstruction. Passengers complain that there is always a traffic jam on the downhill section, which causes more problems when it is one-way. Passengers suggest that the work should be completed as soon as possible and the road should be made smooth.
