There is no political interference in the appointment of university officials: Minister of Education Pokharel

Kathmandu. The government has made it clear that it will not interfere in the appointment of officers in various universities. In a discussion with education journalists at the Ministry of Education on Friday, Minister of Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel said that the university will be made autonomous.

Minister Pokharel said that since the university is an autonomous body, there will be no political interference in it and the vice-chancellors will work independently. According to the ministry, the newly appointed vice-chancellors have been instructed to form their own team as there was political participation in the appointment of officials in the past.
