Kathmandu. Wealth worth lakhs was stolen from various places in Kathmandu and Lalitpur on Monday. According to the Central Police News Room, property worth around Rs 57 lakh including gold jewelery and cash was stolen from five different places.

An amount worth Rs 2 lakh 91 thousand was stolen from Sunita Bajgark's room in Tarakeshwar Municipality-11 Nepaltar and Rs 3 lakh 77 thousand from Jairam Adhikari's house in Tarakeshwar-2 Kavresthali. Similarly, the police said that gold and silver jewelery and a laptop worth about Rs 740,000 were stolen from Dharma Ratna Shahi's room in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15.

In Mahalakshmi Municipality of Lalitpur, a large amount of theft has also been reported. In Mahalakshmi-1 Bhairav ​​tol, Rs 4 lakh 4 thousand was stolen from Janendra Lal Karna's room and the highest amount of Rs 39 lakh 47 thousand was stolen from Baburam Pandey's room near Krishna Mandir Chowk.

The police have informed that the search for the persons involved in the theft has been intensified and necessary investigations are being conducted in this regard.
