Expensive price of violating traffic rules: 22 lakh 74 thousand fines collected in one day

Kathmandu. In the past 24 hours, two thousand 489 drivers have been prosecuted for violating traffic rules. From this, 22 lakh 74 thousand 504 revenue has been deposited in the state treasury. According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 49 people were punished for drinking alcohol, 258 people who did 'ride sharing' against the rules, 170 people who violated traffic signals and 112 people who drove vehicles at high speed.

Likewise, 325 people who did not follow the 'lane' discipline, 64 who honked in the prohibited area, 121 who parked vehicles in the road zone, 62 who violated the rules for picking up and alighting passengers at designated places and 1 thousand 328 people who did not follow other traffic rules were punished.
