Kathmandu. While efforts to unify the left-wing components are intensifying, the CPN Maoist Center and the CPN United Socialist Party have reached an agreement on the format of party unification. A leader of the United Socialist Party informed that an agreement has been reached between the two sides about the name, policy and leadership of the party.

According to him, the discussion about the election symbol and organizational structure is still going on. The United Samajwadi Party has called a central committee meeting from November 12 to 14, which is preparing to finalize the unity proposal.

In the initial stage, there was an initiative to unite the four communist components including the Communist Party of Nepal led by Netra Vikram Chand 'Biplav', but the Biplav group has retreated. Now it is said that the unity talks between the Maoist Center, United Samajwadi Party and Mahindra Rai Yadav's Nepal Samajwadi Party have reached a conclusion. According to an official, there is a high possibility that the merger will be finalized by the end of October. After the House of Representatives election was scheduled on February 21st, the constitutional provision that the Election Commission must be registered within October 30th has also encouraged these parties to move towards unity.
