The report of the commission of inquiry into the Genji movement incident is being submitted to the government today

Kathmandu. The commission of inquiry formed to investigate the incident related to the Genji movement on August 23 and 24 has prepared to submit its report to the government today. Prime Minister Sushila Karki's secretariat said that the commission formed under the chairmanship of former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki will submit its report to the government at 11 am on Sunday. As the term of the commission also ends on Sunday, the report is going to be submitted today.

The cabinet meeting led by Prime Minister Sushila Karki of the interim government decided to form a commission to investigate the incidents that happened during the Genji movement on October 5. The commission was given the responsibility to study the activities during the protest, the role of the security personnel and the overall development. It is said that the next cabinet meeting on this matter can decide whether or not to make the report public.
