Kathmandu. Amid long-standing complaints about service quality in Nepal's telecommunication sector, efforts to improve Nepal Telecom Company Limited have been initiated. Following the instructions of the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Dr. Vikram Timilsina, the company has taken concrete steps to make service delivery effective. In particular, a comprehensive transformation process has been initiated with the aim of improving customer service, mobile data management, digital service expansion and administrative processes.

The Ministry of Communications has introduced a 10-point corrective action plan with the aim of implementing a 'result-based government management system'. In this plan, service improvement of Nepal Telecom has also been given priority. Under this, the goal has been taken to make customer service easy, transparent and technology-friendly. In the past, problems such as service disruptions, slow response, unnecessary procedural hassles and delays in resolving customer complaints were frequently encountered. Both the ministry and the company are now working in a coordinated manner to address this problem.
