Kathmandu. In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Nepali Congress MP Niskal Rai has strongly objected to the continuous absence of Prime Minister Balendra Shah.
Speaking at the time of emergency, he said that although the presence of the Prime Minister was sought many times in the Parliament, it was sad that he was not present even at this important time.
He argued that it was an insult to the Parliament for the Prime Minister to skip Parliament, especially when there was an agenda to answer the questions raised by the MPs on the government's policies and programs.
MP Rai reminded that the Speaker's main responsibility is to protect the dignity and reputation of the Parliament and drew the Speaker's serious attention to this matter.
