Kathmandu. On the second day of the closed session of the 11th Congress of CPN-UML, candidates for the new leadership are being nominated today. For that, senior vice president Ishwar Pokharel, who is a contender for the presidency, has finalized the post of general secretary. The name of Surendra Pandey has been decided as the general secretary from the Pokhrel group. Similarly, it has been decided to promote Gokarn Wist as vice president and Yogesh Bhattarai as deputy general secretary.
Similarly, the names of Krishna Gopal Shrestha, Karn Thapa, Gokul Baskota, Vinod Dhakal, Thakur Gayre, Indralal Sapkota and Rachna Khadka have been discussed. According to the election schedule, now the nomination registration will open from 10:30 am. The election schedule has been published under the 11th Congress of UML. According to the election schedule, the list of convention representatives will be published by 11:00 am today, and the nominations will be registered after 11:00 am.
UML is going to use electronic voting machines in the elections for leadership selection. Election Commission chief Vijay Subba has informed that the decision has been taken to use electronic machines. About five percent representation has been ensured for the youth under the age of 40 in the UML Central Committee.
