The money laundering case against people including Ravi and GB is withdrawn, the cooperative fraud case remains the same
Kathmandu. The Rupandehi District Court has approved the petition for amendment of the indictment submitted by the government in the ongoing case against the defendants including Ravi Lamichhane and Geetendrababu GB Rai in the case of misappropriation of funds of the Supreme Savings and Loan Cooperative.
Judge Rameshkant Adhikari's bench has issued an order considering that the amendment petition filed on behalf of the plaintiff Nepal Government is reasonable in accordance with section 36 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 2074. Along with this order, the way to amend and modify the two other serious accusations that have been added while keeping the accusation of co-operative fraud as the original case is open.
According to the court, the public prosecutor's office submitted an application to the court for the amendment of the indictment based on the preliminary comments and error correction order of the Attorney General's office.
