Janakpur. The meeting of the Madhesh Pradesh Assembly has been adjourned till 2 o'clock today. Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav himself was absent as the agenda of the meeting today was to take a vote of confidence. As the proposer himself was absent, Deputy Speaker Babita Kumari Raut Isar announced that the meeting was adjourned till 2 o'clock today.
The Supreme Court last Monday issued a mandate to Chief Minister Saroj Kumar Yadav to take a vote of confidence within 24 hours. Yesterday, Tuesday, Chief Minister Yadav informed through a press conference in the evening that he would take the vote of confidence this morning as he had received the letter late. The meeting of the Madhesh Pradesh Assembly, which was supposed to be held at 8:30, started at 10:30. Chief Minister Yadav was absent from the meeting.
