The implementation of the agreement to give 60,000 milk per day from small farmers to DDC has started
Kathmandu. Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Association, Small Farmers Development Lagufinance Financial Institution Ltd. And the tripartite agreement between the Milk Development Institute to buy and sell more than 60,000 milk per day has been implemented. Ekraj Upreti, President of Nepal Agricultural Cooperatives Central Association, informed that the milk day has started from today, following the implementation of the agreement to market the milk produced and collected through DDC by the member organizations and farmers of the central association and microfinance institutions since August 1st, last July 27th.
On the first day, he informed that more than 60,000 milk will be marketed daily through DDC in the near future by starting a 3,000 capacity milking plant in the Small Farmers Agricultural Cooperative in Makwanpur's Handi Khola. Through the network of these two organizations, DDC has started to support the collection and distribution of farmers' milk through a tripartite agreement with the objective of bringing the milk produced in the rural areas to the market consumers.
