The government said to be alert and aware of Nipah virus
Kathmandu. The Ministry of Health and Population has said that the government has requested to be alert and vigilant against the Nipah virus. Making it clear that he is fully committed to protecting the health of citizens, he also said to avoid this virus.
As the Ministry is taking all the necessary steps for that, it has requested everyone not to panic and be aware, alert and responsible. Although the public health risk of the Nipah virus has been assessed by the World Health Organization as low at the global and Southeast Asia regional levels, the Ministry has mentioned that necessary awareness has been adopted in view of some cases of the Nipah virus seen in neighboring countries.
It has been clarified that the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division of the Ministry has alerted the health institutions and agencies across the country as a precautionary measure and necessary preparations have been made to test for the Nipah virus.
