The government reached a three-point agreement with the parents of Garima Chaudhary
Kathmandu. The government has agreed on three points with the parents of the girl Garima Chaudhary who was murdered in Simra. After the talks in the Ministry of Home Affairs, the government agreed on three points. On Saturday, Home Minister Sudhan Gurung brought the parents of the murdered girl from Simra to Kathmandu for talks.
The girl's parents were taken to the Ministry of Home Affairs by Agriculture Minister Gita Chaudhary from the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. A three-point agreement was reached with the family in the presence of Home Minister Gurung, Law Minister Sobita Gautam, Physical Infrastructure Minister Sunil Lamsal, Women and Children Minister Sita Wadi.
In the agreement, it is mentioned that the existing laws will be amended according to the citizens' expectations in cases of heinous crimes. According to the agreement, a report will be submitted within seven days with suggestions for drafting the law after reviewing the punishment system in the existing law. It is mentioned in the agreement that infrastructure minister Sunil Lamsal will coordinate with the local level to make salik according to the wishes of the girl's parents.
Similarly, it is mentioned in the agreement that the parents of the girl Garima Chaudhary will bury the girl according to their own customs. Along with the ministers, the girl's father Manoj Kumar Chaudhary and mother Manmati Chaudhary have signed the agreement.
