The game of prolonging power without holding elections like in Bangladesh and Myanmar has started: Oli
Kathmandu. Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that authoritarian tendencies are beginning to be seen in Nepal. Speaking at the Central Committee meeting of the National Youth Association of Nepal held in Kathmandu, he asserted that efforts are being made in Nepal to prolong the rule by shifting the date of the elections like in Bangladesh and Myanmar.
According to President Oli, it is announced that elections will be held in the place where the dictatorship starts, but the date is moved time and again. He mentioned that as an example, the elections in Myanmar have been postponed for 6 years and in Bangladesh for one and a half years and said that they are trying to create a similar situation in Nepal.
He urged everyone to be aware that efforts are being made to push the country back to conflict, tension and mutual hatred. He said that such a situation would be harmful for the nation. During that time, he said that efforts are being made to drag the country into instability in the name of Genji and warned that it could have a negative impact on political stability and the democratic system.
