Kathmandu. The Election Commission has asked Shakti Basnet, the former home minister and candidate of the Nepali Communist Party in Jajarkot, for an explanation. Basnet was asked for an explanation on the charge of distributing money to voters. The Election Commission has also said that after receiving a complaint alleging violation of the code of conduct, during the investigation, it was found that they were doing activities contrary to the code of conduct.
The Commission has asked for an explanation as they were seen giving five hundred rupee notes to the members of the group who were seen playing bajagaza.
