The discussion about the importance of the library and the culture of reading in Nepal Academy completed!
Kathmandu. The seminar on "Social Responsibility in the Development of Reading-Culture" organized by Nepal Pragya Foundation, Kamaladi in collaboration with Nepal Library Foundation, Nepal and the launching program of "Nepal Library Foundation in Shabdchitra" souvenir-2082 was grandly completed in Devkota Auditorium of the Foundation.
Bhupal Rai, Chancellor of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan, while inaugurating the program and unveiling the souvenir, said that 'libraries are necessary for human civilization, culture, labor and collective knowledge.'
The influence of reading culture is now more effective than books and newspapers. Therefore, the reading culture and knowledge system is moving forward by connecting it with both print and digital media.
He said that the library should be promoted.

Member Secretary of Nepal Pragya-Pratishthan Dr. Dhanprasad Subedi pointed out the importance of libraries and argued that reading culture should be according to individual needs. In his thank you speech, he said that research has been started to maintain consistency in Nepali language and descriptive writing.

He said that while the reading culture in the print media is decreasing, the influence of the digital reading culture is increasing. Simultaneously, the reading culture of both media should be attracted to the readers.
Pushparaj Subedi, President of Nepal Library Association, commented on "Nepal Library Foundation Souvenir-2082" in calligraphy.President of Nepal Library Foundation Dr. Chhayadatta Neupane gave a welcome speech along with the justification of the program and stressed that the library is a source of knowledge and study and should be brought to every home.
