Janakpurdham. Dinanath Chaudhary, chairman of Agnisair Krishnasavaran Rural Municipality of Saptari, who came into controversy after being massaged by the ward chairman, has resigned from the post. His resignation has also been accepted. Vice President Kalpana Chaudhary informed that the executive meeting held on Tuesday accepted the resignation. In his resignation letter addressed to the vice president, he has mentioned that he is unable to work in his position.
"I Dinanath Chaudhary, I have been working as the chairman of Agnisair Krishnaswaran rural municipality, but due to various reasons, I have been unable to continue working in that position," the resignation letter states. Chaudhary was dragged into controversy after a video of him lying on the sofa in the office of the vice president and getting his feet massaged by the ward president went viral on social media. President Chaudhary was elected from UML while Vice President Kalpana Chaudhary was elected from Nepali Congress.
