The bank robbers who stole money from the bank
The Kathmandu. Meanwhile, Dhading police have arrested some people who were involved in stealing money by breaking the safe of the bank that was destroyed in the flood in Vihan Rasuwa on September 10. 29 people involved in stealing more than one crore rupees by breaking the safe of the bank which was washed away by the Trishuli River have been arrested from different places in Dhading.
A joint team of Nepal Police and Armed Police Force launched a search operation in the area and seized Rs 92,68,505 in cash.
Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Dhading, DSP Prakash Dahal has confirmed that some people involved in stealing money by breaking the safe of the bank have been arrested. A total of nine bank branch offices in Timur, Betrawati, and Trishuli were washed away by the devastating floods on September 10. The flood also destroyed ATM machines in the area. One of them was taken to a bank safe in Dhading. Trishuli was planted on the banks of the river after the power of the flood was weakened due to excessive deepening.
