Kathmandu. From today Swasthani Vrat Katha and Madhavnarayan Mela has started. Every year this fair is held at Shalinadi in Sankhu, Kathmandu from Paush Shukla Purnima to Magh Shukla Purnima. It seems that there is a significant presence of worshipers and bathers in Shalinadi on the first day in the morning.
On this occasion, devotees especially go to Shali river for bathing and pilgrimage. Throughout the month of January, the Shali river area is visited by a considerable crowd of devotees.
