Supreme Court orders Madhesh Chief Minister Yadav to take vote of confidence within 24 hours
Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has ordered Madhesh Chief Minister Saroj Yadav to take a vote of confidence within 24 hours. On Monday, the joint bench of Justices Hari Prasad Phuyal and Nityananda Pandey issued an order, in the event that the vote of confidence could not be taken within the specified time, it was ordered to proceed with the government formation process as per Article 168920 of the Constitution.
The bench gave this order while hearing a petition filed by 73 parliamentarians saying that Yadav was appointed in an unconstitutional manner.
